Nigeria’s Wizkid performs over Zimbabwean Producer, Dr Feel track, during black coffee’s Ibiza set
Nigerian superstar Wizkid delivered an unexpected live vocal moment during DJ Black Coffee’s Ibiza set, performing over “Let The Drums Speak,” an Afrohouse track produced by Zimbabwean DJ and producer Dr. Feel alongside FunkyThaps.
Footage from the set shows Wizkid adding live vocals as the track played to the Ibiza crowd, creating an unexpected meeting point between Nigeria’s Afrobeats sound and Southern Africa’s electronic music scene.
The performance was not announced as a new collaboration or presented as a new Wizkid release.
Instead, it was a live moment within Black Coffee’s set that brought a Zimbabwean-produced Afrohouse record into the orbit of one of Africa’s most internationally recognised artists.
For Dr. Feel, the moment comes against the backdrop of an increasingly international career within the Afro House and electronic music space.
