During discussions following the ceremony, Governor-General Mostyn commended Tanzania for its distinguished history, particularly its contribution to the liberation struggles of Southern African countries.
She also expressed satisfaction with the strong relations between Tanzania and Australia, fostered through the Commonwealth and bilateral cooperation in various sectors, particularly mining.
Governor-General Mostyn emphasised the importance of strengthening cooperation in the mining sector. She encouraged regular visits and meetings with stakeholders in Australia’s mining industry, noting that many Australian companies were interested in the favourable investment opportunities available in Tanzania.
